St. Albert voters have spoken!
In the Mayoral race, Scott Olivieri was elected with 9,453 votes, capturing 57.9% of the total.
Incumbent Councillor Wes Brodhead finished second with 4,965 votes, or 30.4%.
For City Council, voters chose six representatives: Neil Korotash led the pack with 9,717 votes, followed by Ken Mackay with 7,778, Sheena Hughes with 7,416, Shelley Biermanski with 6,307, Sandy Clark with 6,048, and Amanda Patrick with 5,710.
Overall, three incumbents - Mackay, Hughes, and Biermanski - will return, joined by three fresh faces - Korotash, Clark, and Patrick - setting up a Council that blends experience with new perspectives.
With this mix, St. Albert’s next Council will be tasked with addressing critical local priorities, including managing growth, maintaining infrastructure, and keeping taxes low for residents.
As the new Mayor and Council members take office, the coming months will reveal how this new team works together to meet the City’s challenges.
One thing is certain - St. Albert residents are expecting leadership that listens, acts, and prioritizes fiscal responsibility.
